University of Pardubice

Good morning everybody,

this weekend, I would like to describe my first impressions from our university. Firstly, I know this outskirt very well because my secondary school is situated next to University campus but my first feelings were different, For example I felt very excited, proud, nervous and of course a little sleepy because I had to get up early again after a long time. Very funny was a situation when me and my classmates couldn’t find the right class because 5 minutes before our lesson we were in the wrong floor.
The EA building seems to me unusual because of its very surprising height. It has overall 13 floors! Yeah, it’s an awesome view from the top and when we have lessons there, we usually use a lifts but sometimes are crowded so one day we tried to climb up by stairs but then we were completely exhausted. Never more!
I think that our teachers are professionals and they are very polite and pleasant to us and that’s positive.
After a long week we usually go to pub called Áčko with my studybuddies. It’s refreshing to get a deserved beer. :)
Our canteen is great because you can choose from many delicious dishes for low prices. Of course that we have a library but I've been there only once. But I guess I will visit the library regularly.

Thank you for your time!

Regards.

Me & English

Hello,
today I would like to tell you something about my relationship between me and English. For me, English is the most important language around the world. Very funny for me is that English has a lot of unique accents.

I've started learning English at the primary school I guess in the fourth class. Of course, that beginnings were easier but I really started enjoy this language more. Time went on and in the ninth class we went to The United Kingdom for sightseeing but absolutely amazing for us was that we stayed there with native speakers! My English family was really kind and pleasant and I didn't want to go back to the Czech Republic. I guess this experience, I mean to live with English family is incredible and it improves your language, as well.
Then I went to the Secondary school of Tourism. This school is specialised for languages and travelling so, I've visited a many countries mostly in the Western Europe and I had to use English of course.
I want to improve my English for example by watching movies, reading books and lyrics, typing with foreign friends and so on.
I know that journey to be English speaking teacher will be hard and I know that I'm making a lot of mistakes in the grammar but I really want to find them and eliminate them.

Thank you for your time!

Regards.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog dear teachers and studybuddies,

I would like to introduce myself a little bit. My name is Lukas Beran and I come from Pardubice where I live in a flat with my older brother and mother for 20 years. My brother used to be a student at our University, as well. Nowadays, he's got his master's degree. My mother works as an accountant in the small company.
I have got a lot of hobbies for example listening to music, meeting new friends and travelling. I really love sports. For me the best sport is ice-hockey but I play only floorball with friends in team called Pardubice Gunners but obviously we are not any proffesionals because we play just for fun.
Now, let me introduce my character. I guess that I have great personality because I can be very talkative, sociable, kind person and If anybody needs my help I give him helping hand. Of course that I can be sometimes a little bit stubborn and hothead but who isn't?
Well, I should decribe how I look like, as well. So, my height is about 180 centimetres and I've got quite skinny figure, brown hair and brown eyes.

Thank you for you time and I hope we will know each other more. See you soon.

Regards.
